Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to your hotel. Meet your mountain guide for a briefing, gear check, and preparations.

Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi/Arusha

Drive to Umbwe Gate, complete registration, and start hiking through dense rainforest. The trail is steep and narrow but filled with the sound of nature.

Hiking Time: 5–6 hours
Distance: 11 km

Trek leads you out of the forest and onto a rocky ridge with stunning views of valleys and glaciers. The trail becomes less steep as you approach Barranco Valley.

Distance: 6 km

Climb the famous Barranco Wall, a thrilling but non-technical scramble offering panoramic views. Continue to Karanga Camp, a crucial acclimatization point.

Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
Distance: 5 km

Continue your ascent toward Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. Rest, hydrate, and enjoy early dinner.

Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
Distance: 4 km

Around midnight, begin your summit push through icy switchbacks. Reach Stella Point at sunrise, then continue to Uhuru Peak. Descend to Mweka Camp.

Hiking Time: 10–14 hours total
Distance: 17 km

Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to your hotel.
